Gallycrows

Gallycrows was commissioned by Inside Out Dorset in response to Luke Jerram’s work ‘Gaia’. It is walkabout performance in which four enigmatic nomads wander amongst a crowd looking for clues as to which year they have arrived in and where they are. They produce a map which is difficult to recognize because after flooding the country appears like a series of islands. It encourages talk about climate change and rising sea levels in a thoughtful but light hearted way. It can be performed at festivals, events or in school playgrounds. Eye-catching costumes were designed and made by Sophie Fretwell from recycled items.
