Roaming Scar Collectors

At the Green Man festival in 2011 we worked with scientists and PhD students from the University of Cardiff to create a new collaborative piece of walkabout theatre on the theme of healing and injury; The Roaming Scar Collectors. These strange detective figures sang songs to lure passers by to come and show us their scars and tell us their gory stories which we re-enacted, zooming in on the wound itself and becoming platelets, bacteria and collagen to show the stages of a scar forming. We also recreated wounds using stage makeup. You can read more about the work we did in the New Scientist.
